COUNTY OF DENTON ~
RELEASE OF SPECIAL WING ASSESSMENT LIEN AND CLAIM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Denton, Texas, hat heretofore by Ordinance No. 66.30 duly
enacted on August 2J, 1966, determined the necessity for and ordered the improvement of all streets referred to therein
Including Wood Street (from McKinney Street to Sycanwre Street), In die City of Denton, Texas, in the manner and
according to the plans end specifications therefore, which phsns and specilkatiotu have heretofore been approved and
adopted by sold City Council; and
WHEREAS, a notice duly executed In the name of the City cf Dentpp, Texas, of the enactment of the said
above-described ordinance has heretofore on the tsi day of September, 1966 bceo filed in the Deed Records of Denton
County, Texas, in Volume M 1, Page 490; and i '
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton, Tcxm, b j Ordinance No. 67.2, duly eructed orj the Ithh
day of January, 1967, declared the liability of the adjacent properly owners for a portion of the cost of Improving
portions of various streets described therein, including Wood Street, and declared the some to be a lien upon the sold
abutting propertde; and
WHEREAS, in tine aforeuld Instruments, Lots 20 and 21, Block 272, a shown on the City Map of the City of
Denton, Texas, being commonly known as Wood Street, in the name of Odle Mae Fox, was shown to be specially
assessed in the amount of One Hundred Seventy-Ave Dollars ($173.00) as to Lot 20• and One Hundred Elghty-two
Dollars (11 $2.00) at to Lot 21; and
WIIEHAS, the property ownch share of the cost of improving Lou 20 and 21, Block 272, being commonly
known as 203 South Wood Street In the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas, is Three Hundred Fifty-Seven Dollars
(5337.0); plus lawful Interest due thereupon; NOW, TIIEREFORE,
In consideration of the payment by the said James Oda Fox to the City of Denton, Texas, of the assened
amount plus lawful Interest thereon, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the acid city of Denton, Texas, does r
hereby forever RELEASE AND DISCHARGE the sold Odic Mae Fox and James Otis Fox, their helrs, administrators,
executors, successors and assigns, and the above-described real property, from any and all special assessment lieu and
claims arising by virtue of the improvements to Wood Street In the City of Denton, TcAA described in the aforesaid
ordinances by the City Council of Bald City, and in the aforesaid notice recorded in Volume S41, Page 490 of the Deed
Records of Denton County, Texas.

RELEASE OF SPECIAL PAVING ASSESSMENT LIEN ANV CLAIM
WHERFAS, the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, has heretofore by Ordinance No. 69-30 duty enacted
on August 12, 1961, determined the necessity for and ordered the Improvement or Smith Street (from Duncan Street to
Dallas Drive), in the City of Denton, Texas, in the manner and according to the plans and specifications therefore, which
plans and specifications have heretofore teen approved sad adopted by said City Council; and
WI IEREAS, a notice duly executed in the name of the City of Denton, Texas, of the enactment of the laid above
described ordinance has heretofore on the 21" day orAugust, i vi7, been filed hi the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas,
in Volume 589, Page 387; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton. Texas, by Ordinance No. 69.33, duly enacted on the 0 day of
September, 1969, declared the liability or the adjacent property owners for a portion of the cost of improving portions or
various streets described therein, Including Smith Street, and declared the same to be a lien upon the said abutting properties;
and
WFIEREAS, In the aforesaid instruments, Lat 3. 1, Block 234, as sho,vn on the City Map of the City of Denton,
Texas, being located on Smith Street, In the name or]. T. Jones, was shown to be spcclally assessed in the amount of Two
I lundred Nincy-five Dollars and Fifty Cents ($293.50); and
WI I F.REAS, the property owner's share of the cost of improving Lot 3,1, Block 234, being located on Smith Street
in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas, is Two Hundred Ninety-five Dollars and Fifty Cents ($295.50) plus lawful
interest due thereupon; NOW, IIIEREFORE,
In consideration of the payment by the said J. T. Jones to the City of Denton, Texas, of the assessed amount plus
lawful interest thereon, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said City of Denton, Texas, does hereby fomer
RELEASE AND DISCIIAROE the said J. T. Jones, his heirs, &&,iinistrators, executors, successor and assigns, and the
above•dcscribcd real property, from any and all special assessment liens and claims arising by virtue of the Improvements to
Smith Street in the City of Denton, Texas, descnlvd in the aforesaid ordinances by the City Council of said City, and in the
aforesaid notice recorded in Volume $89, Page 587 of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas,
