The developer, can include the cost of the signal light to the cost of construction, **Normally the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth pay for the equipment, installation, and maintenance of signal lights, if the situation warrants it, according to the Texas and City Traffic Code{ However, both cities have installed signal lights for malls when the situation did not warrant it, an+a. they required the mall to pay a portion of the coat. { ] In 'concluding this report, I suggest that we 'attempt ,to get the Golden Triangle .Mall to pay all or part of the cost of 8 signal light for that area. The business is comin, from Decatur, Okla- i , homa, Galnsville,_Lewisvllie, and ?h'e,Colony. We can easily lose the Lewl'tvllle and The Colony trade to Dal ias malls by making It difficult to 'enter Golden Triangle. i Dallas mallshave us beat hands down in assortment of goods' and stores. If the city of Denton wishes to continue their good fortune of having growing outlying communlti.es shop here they better wake up and act like it.
