First Part, hereinafter called CONTRACTOR, and the City of
Denton, Texas, a municipal corporation, of the County of Denton,
State of Texas, Party of the Second Part, hereinafter called
OWNER, A
WITNESSETH: \
That for and inconsideration of the payments and agree- ~
meets hereinafter mentioned to be made and performed by owner, h►
and under the conditions expressed in the bond bearing even Q
date herewith, the Contractor hereby agrees with Owner to com-
mence and complete the construction of certain improvements c+
described as follows:

DESCRIBED FURNITURE FOR USE
IN THE CITY-COUNTY LIBRARYt
and all extra work in connection therewith, under the terms as
stated in the Invitation for Bids, Proposal, and Information
and Special Instruments to Bidders, and General Conditions of
Agreement attached hereto and hereby made a part of this con-
tract by reference the same as if set forth at length herein;
and at Contractor's own proper cost and expense to furnish all
materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, tools, supervision,
labor, insurance and other accessories and services necessary
to complete the said construction in accordance with the con-
ditions and prices stated in the proposal attached horeto, and
in accordance with the conditions and prices stated in the pro-
posal, and in accordance with all the General Conditions of
Agreement, and in accordance with the plans, which include all

maps, plats, blueprints and other drawings and printed or
written explanatory matter thereof, and specifications therefor,
as prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Denton, Texas,
each of which has been identified by the endorsement of the

Contractor and the Said City Engineer therein.
Contractor hereby agrees to commence work within ten (10)
days after the date written notice shall have been given to
commence, and to substantiall;► complete said work within 75 CALENDAR
XXXXXXX4 days after the date extablished in the written notice

to commence work.

Owner agrees to pay the Contractor in current funds for
the performance of the construction of the work in accordance
with the proposal submitted therefor, subject to additions and
deductions, as provided in the General Conditions of Agreement,
and to make payments on account thereof as provided therein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Agree-
ment in duplicate in the year and on the date first above
written.

The undersigned, in compliance with your advertisement for bids on the above
named projects having examined the drawings, specifications, related documents,
the site of the proposed work, and being familiar with all of the conditions
concerning the furnishings for the projects including the availability of
materials and labors hereby proposes to furnish all labor, services, equipment,
transportation, materials, facilities, methods and means necessary and reasonably
incidental to perform all of the-work in accordance with the Contract Documents,
within the time set forth therein, for the prices stated below, These prices
will cover all expenses incurred in performing the work required under the Con-
tract Documental of which this Bid Proposal is a part. Prices include all allow-
ances. (All amounts shall be shown in both words and figures. In case of dis-
crepancy, the amount shown in words shall govern. All, blanks shall be filled in
in ink or typewritten as-indicated.)

proposal. For any changes in the quantities so indicated, for the items
listed'below, the following unit prices shall prevail.
1. The Time of Completion shall be as stipulated by the specifications
. or as indicated in the contract.
2. It is understood that the Owner reserves the right to reject any
or all bids.
3. Upon receipt of Notice of Award of this Bid, the undersigned will ,
execute the formal Contract within ten (10) days and will deliver aim-
ultaneously therewith a Bond for Benefit of Laborers and ?Material Supp-

liers, and Performance of Contract as specified in the Contract Documents,
each in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of thL amount of the
O Contract, said bond to be issued by a Surety Company authorized to do bus-
iness within the State of Texas and satisfactory to the Owner.
4. It is understood that the rimer will not be responsible for any errors
or omissions on the part of the undersigned in caking up this proposal form.
