Dear Mr, White;
I atn pleased to submit for your review and information a report
of the activities and opLratione of the Fire Department for 1973,
This year brought many innovations in an effort to provide the
' maximal protection for life and property against the ravage of fire,
A "total involvement" fire prevention program wag initiated, In
this program all fire department personnel were involved in fire
prevc,rtion activities.
' our figures show Insured fire losses down 50, 7% from the same
period for tho pre, io+le year,
The State Zoard of Insurance has advised that a 501o credit on Fire
Insurance prn.niums in the City of Denton will remain the same for
tho coming year. Alan, after a Key Rate Inspection of Fire Defenses
' in our city, our insurance Key Bate will remain at 20¢.
We have enjoyed this support, interoet, and assistance from you,
' members of your staff, and all city departments, For this we express
our sincere appreciation, and look forward to continued efforts in be-
half of tho citizens of Denton,
