This report covers briefly in aummary and compari- son with previous years, the sorvicea and work of the department and its personnel. In submitting this report, I want to express my A sincere thanks to Yjou, members of the City Council and other public officals and their departments for the cooperation and service rendered to this depart- ' mentY As our City continues to grow, we will strive to up-date our Fire Protection needs and Facilities to meet the most advanced standards. I would like to personally sxpress my thanks to all. members of the Fire Department for their cent- inuad desire and dedication in making our depart- ment what it is today. It is our hope to continue to direct the Fire Department so that it will serve our city in every way possible and help direct safety awareness in the citizens from fire as well as life safety. Although this time the lira had bedn subdued by the time she equipment arrived at the fire scene it is comforting for me and my people to be aware of. the action that a phone call will bring. Not only are we grateful to you for the efficient way in which you and the men of the Department extinguished the fire but also for the precautions which you took to prevent water damage in he hallway and in other rooms of the dormitory. Miss Mary Sue Farrar, the young lady who lives with me, and I ' want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us the night when a flood was threatening our home.
