Dear Mr. Gentry:
Last Tuesday, December 28, it was necessary to call the Denton Fire
Department to Denton State School '^:ause of a small, contained fire
' in our attic. Even though the fire was out by the time the trucks
arrived, it was very comforting to have received the prompt atten-
tion and concern of the men who helped us.
i wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and also to wish you

Dear Chief Gentry:
' on November 18 I noticed a small grass fire on Hobson
Lane, between Montecito and Santa Monica Drives at
approximately 1 o!clock. I promptly called the Fire
Department to report it. The rapid response that your
department gave this call was almost unbelievable.
Exactly four minutes later a Fire Department truck was
on the scene. The fire was easily contained and extin-
guished by the three responding firemen. Unfortunately
I was unable to have the presence of m;ad to get the
' three firemen's names.
The high degree of professionalism shown by these
' firemen is to be commended. Please convey to the,,se
firemen my sincere thanks for a job well done.
It is trite to say that I am more comfortable knowing
' we can all count on a fire department of the highest
caliber. Denton is indeed lucky.
