These instructions apply to the preparation of proposals for equipment, matorials, and related work for the City of Denton, Texas, acting through its Public Utilities Board and City Council, hereinafter referred to as tho '%nor". B,2 PROPOSALS. Proposals shall be prepared and submitted in duplicate, each copy Lon'taining a complete bound copy of these contract documents. Proposals which are not Prepared in accordance with those instructions or which are submitted without a complete boimd copy of those contract documents will imply that the bidder does not intend to comply with all of the contract conditions and such proposals will be considered irregular. All prices shall be stated in words and figures except where the forms provide for figures only, Each bidder shall list in the space provided in the proposal form all exceptions or conflicts between his proposal and the contract documents. The shipment of equipment for a substation to City of Denton, Texas, T i`icipal Electric System shall be completed in tirnc to assure arrival of all components on the job site in accordance with the following schedule: Section Description Date 2A Power Transfoneer Between 3/1/79 and 4/15/79 The guaranteed delivery dates shown in Proposal Data for this equipment will be a very serious consideration in the award of contract. Within 30 days after the purchase agreement the Contractor shall submit to the Owner a production schedule for all major equipment and components. Thisr schedule shall be corrected and resubmitted quarterly until all equipment has been shipped. INSWATING LIQUID A sufficient quantity of insulating liquid shall be furnished for the transformer to fill it to the normal operating level.. The initial filling of the tr.ansfonner shall be the contractor's responsibility and shall he made under approved methods designed to eliminate entrained air from within the tank and windings. CORONA TESTING POWER TRANSPOPMER Power transformer shall be corona tested at the full induced - test voltage level. The RIV (Radio Influence Voltage) shall not exceed 500 microvolts. Equipment and general method used will be in accordance with IEEE transformer committee report, IEEE Transactions PAS-85 No. 12, December 1967 - "Tests For Damaging Corona on Oil Insulated Power Transfonners". NOISE LEVEL The average sound level in decibels will not exceed the limits given in accordance with NDLk standards, TR - 1. FACTORY TESTS All routine tests listed in ANSI C57.12.00, Article 8.1.1,. plus additional tests as specified heroin, shall be performed on each transformer.
