From: The Denton Senior Center Advisory Board
We, the undersigned members of the Senior Center Advisory Board,
are saddened, distressed, and dismayed on learning that Bobbie Bassett has
resigned as Director of the Denton Senior Center.
She has gi7en very professional and very distinguished service over
the years ever since this program for Denton's elderly was first established.
She is loved and admired by the overwhelming majority of all those who have
taken part in and benefited from the Center's wide range of services. She
i is a caring person well sui'ea by personality, professional training, and
experience to minister to i.,e needs of the aged. Her leaving the Center
would be an almost irreparable lose to Denton's Senior Citizens and, therefore,
to the City as a whole.
What is a beautiful facility without a heart in it? Mrs.Bassett has
been the heart and soul of the Denton Senior Citizen Program.
We urge you and all others who are vitally interested in and responsible
for the continued well being of the Senior Center program to encourage Mrs.
Bassett to reconsider her decision to reeign.
