RESOLUTION NO. R2012-028
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON DECLARING THE COMPLETION OF THE
WORK OF THE SPECIAL CITIZENS BOND ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE 2012
STREET BOND ELECTION; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTNE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No. R2012-008 creating a Special
Citizens Bond Advisory Committee for the proposed 2012 Street Bond Election; and
WHEREAS, said Committee worked tirelessly on their recommendations to the City
Council on street reconstruction projects and whether or not the Public Arts Policy should be
applied to the proposed bond election to be considered by the public in November 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton desires to express its gratitude
toward this hard working Citizens Advisory Committee and publicly acicnowledge the work of
the Citizens Bond Advisory Committee; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Denton acknowledges the conclusion of the
work of the Special Citizens Bond Advisory Committee and expresses its gratitude to each
member of said Committee for the exemplary performance of assigned functions in accordance
with the Council's direction expressed in Resolution No. R2012-008.
SECTION 2. A bond election has been called by the City Council for November 6, 2012
as a result of the work of this Special Citizen's Bond Advisory Committee.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval and the Special Citizens Bond Advisory Committee is hereby dissolved.
