RESOLUTION NO. R2016-016
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN 1NTERIM CITY
MANAGER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint an interim City Manager to take effect
on July 2, 2016 at 12:01 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this Resolution is in the public interest; NOW,
THEREFORE;
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The recitals and findings contained in the preamble of this Resolution are
incorporated into the body of this Resolution.
SECTION 2. Howard Martin is hereby appointed Interim City Manager of the City of
Denton effective at 12:01 a.m. July 2, 2016 and he will serve at the pleasure of the City Council
until a permanent City Manager is appointed. During his service as Interim City Manager,
Martin shall receive a�.:��' percent pay increase effective on the above referenced date.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
