BACKGROUND DentonEnterpriseAirport(DTO)isanactiveaviationbusinessandprivateaircraftoperationscenter.DTOis th currentlyrankedbytheFederalAviationAdministration(FFA)astheseventh(7)busiestairportinTexas basedontakeoffsandlandings.Thislevelofactivityandbusinessgrowthmayresultintheeastsideofthe Airportbeingfullydevelopedoverthenextfive(5)years.Exhibit1isamapshowingthebuildingsites currentlyunderconstructionwithnewfacilitiesandthesiteswithactiveaviationbusinessprospects consideringdevelopment.Exhibit2isaLegendforthebuildingsitemapwhichidentifiestenantsandprospects for hangar development. ThesuccessfuldevelopmentofDTOoverthepastdecadehasbeenanchoredbytwo(2)contractFixedBase Operators(FBO)withdynamicbusinessplansbeyondprovidingflightlineservicesforbasedanditinerant aircraftonbehalfoftheCity.BusinessAirhasrecentlyaddeda25,000squarefoothangartotheirinventory andhasatotalof785,057squarefeetofdevelopedAirportpropertyunderlongtermlease.Inadditionto another large hangar, Business Air has a concept plan for renovation of their FBO facility. USAviationGrouphasgrownlocallysince2006fromasmallflighttrainingbusinesstooneofthetopfive(5) flightacademiesintheUnitedStateswithoverfifty(50)aircraftbasedatDTO.USAviationisthesecond largestpropertyleasetenantatDTOwithover433,759squarefeetofdevelopedland.Constructionofasecond runwayatDTOwillstimulateevenmorebusinessgrowthforUSAviationbyaddingadditionalaircraft operations capacity. TheCityapprovedanupdatedAirportMasterDevelopmentPlanin2016.Thisplanidentifiesaviation developmentpotentialonover250acresoflandonthewestsideoftheAirport(Exhibit3).DTOiscurrentlyin thedetaileddesignphaseforaddingasecondrunwayandrelatedpublicinfrastructureonthewestsideofthe Airport.TheTexasDepartmentofTransportationAviationDivision(TxDOTAviation)hasincludedover nineteenmilliondollarsofgrantfundedinfrastructureforDTOdevelopmentoverthenextfour(4)years.
