WORK OF THE CITY COUNCIL HISTORIC LANDMARK COMMITTEE; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No. R2014-029 creating the City
Council Historic Landmark Committee; and
WHEREAS, said Committee worked tirelessly on their recommendations to' the City
Council regarding their review of the operations, procedures, powers, duties, policies and
regulations related to historic landmark preservation and historic districts in the City of Denton;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton desires to express its gratitude toward
this hard working City Council Historic Landmark Committee and publicly acknowledge the work
of the City Council Historic Landmark Committee; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Denton acknowledges the conclusion of the
work of the City Council Historic Landmark Committee and expresses its gratitude to each
member of said Committee for the exemplary performance of assigned functions in accordance
with the Council's direction expressed in Resolution No. R2014-029.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval and the City Council Historic Landmark Committee is hereby dissolved.
