WHEREAS, the City of Denton, Texas ("City") finds it in the best interest of the citizens
of the City of Denton, that the "Rifle Grade Protectian" praject be operated for the fiscal year
2018; and
WHEREAS, the City agrees that in the event of loss ar misuse of the Office of the Governar
funds, the City assures that the funds will be returned to the Office af the Governar in full; and
WHEREAS, the City designates the City Manager as the City's autharized afficial. The
authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on
behalf of the City, and

SECTION lµ. The findings set forth in this Resolution are hereby in all things approved.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall act as the City's autharized official, with the power
ta apply for, accept, reject, alter ar terminate the grant on behalf of the City.
SECTION 3. To the extent any Resolution previously adopted by the City Council is
inconsistent with this Resolution, it is hereby superseded.
� I��:" C I(�I"� �� . If any one or more sections or clauses of this Resalution is judged to be
unconstitutional or invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remaining
provisions of this Resalution and the remaining provisions of the Resolution shall be interpreted
as if the offending section or clause never existed.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.

SECTION 6. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to the Office of the Governor of the
State of Texas, 1100 San Jacinto Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78701.
