The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are incorporated herein by reference as true. SECTION 2. The Oak Gateway Area is a planning area identified as the area bounded generally by Panhandle Street to the north, Interstate 35 (I-35) to the south, Bonnie Brae Street to the west, and Carroll Boulevard to the east. SECTION 3. The Denton City Council accepts the visions, goals, recommendations, and implementation strategies proposed in the Oak Gateway Area Plan as presented in the attached Exhibit "A," excluding the specific recommendation [Recommendation Areal-M2 (e)] regarding the street cross section for Hickory Street between Avenue B and Welch Street pending further deliberation by City Council, and encourages further progress toward a plan amendment incorporating these concepts into future code and comprehensive plan amendments for the Oak Gateway Area. SECTION 4.
