WHEREAS, an February 5, 2019 the Denton City Council ardered an election to be held on May 4, 2019 for the purpose of electing Council Members ta Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue using certain polling locations fram previous years and also desires to provide an additional polling lacation in each City Cauncil Voting District on Election Day in arder to provide greater voter accessibility; and WHEREAS, the City Cauncil also desires to add two additional polling lacations to City Council Voting District 3 for both Election Day and for Early Voting, in order to provide greater voter accessibility; and WHEREAS, the City Council contracts with Denton County to hald electians and Denton County has asked that City Cauncil confirm agreement with the designated Electian Day and Early Voting polling locatians; NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES: SECTION lw. The City Cauncil hereby establishes the following polling locations for Election Day voting on May 4, 2019 for the Dentan City Cauncil District 1, 2, 3 and 4. 1, ' 1 Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreatian Center Pecan Creek Elementary School 1300 Wilson 5treet 4400 Lakeview Baulevard North Branch Library 3020 N. Locust North Lakes Recreatian Center 2001 West Windsor UNT Greek Life Center 621 S. Welch Street 1 ' � Denton I.S.D Annex 230 N. Mayhill � . . Fire Station No. 7 4201 Vintage Boulevard Robson Ranch Club House 9428 Ed Rabson Circle Denia Recreation Center 1001 Parvin Street DISTRICT FOUR L. A. Nelson Elementary School 3909 Teasley Lane SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the following locations which have been established by Denton County and will be included in our election services contract, as polling locations for the Early Voting period of Apri122-27 and Apri129-30: University of North Texas Greek Life Center located at 621 S. Welch Street Denton Civic Center located at 321 E. McKinney Street Denton County Elections Office located at 701 Kimberly Drive and Robson Ranch Club House located at 9428 Ed Robson Circle SECTION 3.
