BACKGROUND Adoption of this ordinance will formally canvass the election returns of the regular election for council members in Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 held Saturday, May 4, 2019. As all leading candidates received a majority of the votes cast, no runoff election is necessary. The Final Unofficial Results are attached as Exhibit A to the ordinance as all ballots have been tallied. The initial two outstanding ballots required were not cured and could therefore not be counted. The results includes all overseas ballots, if received by the deadline.
