WHEREAS, at its April 10, 2018 Work Session, the City Council determined that it would be advisable ta approve the formal creation of the Denton Development Code Review Committee ("Committee") to assist in the pracess of reviewing and revising the revised Denton Development Code ("DDC"); and WHE EAS, on April 10, 201$, the City Council passed and approved esolution No. 18-637 which established the Committee, set the structure of the Committee, ratified all prior actions taken by the Committee priar to approval of the resolution, and set a Committee termination date of December 31, 2018; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it advisable that the Committee termination date should be extended to December 31, 2019; and WHE AS, the City Council iinds that some of the Committee guidelines should be amended, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY CO CIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HE EBY SOLVES: SECT ON 1. The City Council hereby amends Resolution Number 18-637 as set out fully ...........�.�.� ..............1.............. below, SECTION 2. A Committee is established to review all proposed revisions to the DDC, review proposed revisions to zoning designations, and make recommendations to the City Council regarding the proposed revisions. SECTION 3. The Committee shall be comprised of three (3} City Council Members. Three (3} Planning and Zoning Commissioners will participate in Comrnittee discussions as non- voting ex-officio members. The Chairperson and Vice Chairperson shall be City Council Members. Quarum required ta hold a Committee Meeting will be two (2} of the three (3) Council Members serving on the Co ittee. SECTION 4. Any matters not addressed by this Resolution shall be governed by the "City of Denton Handbook for Boards, Commissions and Council Committees." SECTION 5. The City Manager, or his designee, will provide support to the Committee as necessary. The City Attorney shall provide legal counsel to the Committee and City Staff with the drafting of all propased revisions ta the DDC and zoning designations as recommended by the Committee. SECTION 6. This Resolution ratifies all past actions taken by the Committee before the approval of this resolution. SECTION 7. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval. SECTION 8. Upon completion of the aforementioned duties, or on December 31, 2019 (whichever is sooner), the Committee shall terminate without further action of the City Council. SECTION 9. All provisions of Resolution Number 18-637 in conflict with the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION 10.
