A RESOLUTION APPOINTING FRANK PUGSLEY AS THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO
SERVE AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE UPPER TRINITY
REGIONAL WATER DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Timothy S. Fisher, as Water Utilities Director, served on the board from 2001
until retirement in May 2019, and Frank Pugsley, the Water Utilities Director, would like to
represent the City of Denton in the same capacity and Mr. Pugsley meets the qualifications of
eligibility for appointment to the Upper Trinity Regional Water District ("UTRWD") Board; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Pugsley is involved with the management and the day-to-day activities
involving the Water Utility Department of the City of Denton; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Mr. Pugsley has met the qualifications of eligibility
for appointment to the UTRWD Board; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration, the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas desires
to appoint, as its representative to the UTRWD Board of Directors, Frank Pugsley, to serve on the
Board of Directors for the remaining term of 2 years ending May 31, 2021; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. Frank Pugsley is hereby appointed as the City of Denton's representative, to
serve as a member of the Upper Trinity Regional Water District Board of Directors, effective as
of the passage of this resolution.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby directed to transmit a true and
correct copy of this Resolution to the Assistant Secretary, UTRWD Board of Directors.
SECTION 3�. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
