A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON NOMINATING 5UE
TEJML TO A SLATE OF NOMINEES FOR THE BOARD OF MANAGERS OF THE DENCO
AREA 9-1-1- DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 772.106 of the Texas Health and Safety Code, provides that two
voting members of the Board of Managers of an Emergency Communication District shall be
appointed jointly by participating municipalities located in whole or in part in the District; and
WHEREAS, each year, the term of one of the two members appointed by participating
municipalities expires; and
WHEREAS, Denco Area 9-1-1 District Board members serve in two-year staggered terms
and are eligible for reappointment; and
WHEREAS, Sue Tejml, the Mayor of Copper Canyon, is serving a term set to expire on
September 30, 2019; and has expressed her desire to be considered as a candidate to the slate of
nominees for another two-year term.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES°:
SECTION 1, The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this Resolution are
incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. Sue Tejml, the Mayor of Copper Canyon, is hereby nominated to the slate of
nominees for the Board of Managers of the Denco Area 9-1-1 District.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to send a certified copy of this
Resolution to appropriate officials of the District.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
