WHEREAS, on June 4, 2019, the City Council of Denton passed Ordinance No. DCA18-
0007e amending the 2002 Denton Development Code to create an overlay zoning district entitled,
the Denton Square Districtg and
WHEREAS, the 2002 Denton Development Code stipulates that an applicant seeking a
mural must apply for a Certiiicate for Design Consistency, which requires review and approval by
City Council; and
WHEREAS, Anna and Billy Ennis, the owners of the property located at 119 Elm Street,
have applied for a Certificate of Design Consistency for a mural; and
WHE AS, the mural as proposed, meets the standards established in 5ection
35.25.4.10.7;
