A RESOLUTION R I. l AND APPOINTING MEMBERS Oj. ♦ SPECIAL
DATE.MEMBER OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE TO MONITOR, EVALUATE, AND REPORT ON
PROGRESS OF THE SIX YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, WHICH WAS
APPROVED BY THE VOTERS AT THE BOND ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 5, 2019, ANX
ALL PRIOR BOND ELECTIONS; DISSOLVING PRIOR BOND OVERSIGHT COMMITTEES
AND REPEALING RELATED CREATION RESOLUTIONS; AND PROVIDE FOR AN
EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS,WHEREAS, the City Council called and ordered a bond election for November 5, 2019, for
the purpose of submitting to the voters of the City of Denton certain capital improvements, which
bonds were approved by the voters as a result of the election; and
!'CitizensBond Advisory Committee fulfilled its charge of making
recommendations relative to the projects which should be submitted to the electorate; and
WHEREAS, City Council desires that a special committee be appointed to monitor,
evaluate, and report on the progress of the Six Year Capital Improvement Program and all prior
bond electionprograms; THEREFORE,
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby creates a special seven -member oversight
committee to monitor, evaluate, and report on the progress of the Six Year Capital Improvement
Program, which was approved by voters at the bond election on November 5, 2019, and all prior
bond elections. The committee shall make recommendations to the City Council when potential
changes or adjustments to the bond projects occur.
SECTION 2. The membership of the Oversight Committee shall consist of Tim Crouch,
Randy Robinson, Brandon McCleskey, Janet Shelton, Patrick Smith, Susan Parker and Eric Pruett.
SECTION 3. The Oversight Committee shall serve for six years or until substantial
expenditure of the funds from the approved bond programs.
l_ ( 9 "l (11' 4. The 2014 Bond Oversight Committee shall be dissolved upon creation of the
new seven -member committee created by this resolution. Resolution 015-003, Resolution
2013-005, and any other resolutions that conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
