CITY OF DENTON CITY COUNCIL
August 4, 2008
After determining that a quorum is present, the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas will
convene in a Special Called Session on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11:30 a.m.in the Council
Work Session Room at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney Street, Denton, Texas at which the
following items will be considered:
1.Closed Meeting:
A. Deliberations regarding consultation with the City Attorney – Under Texas
Government Code Section 551.071 and Section 551.087 – Deliberations
regarding Economic Development Negotiations.
1. Discuss or deliberate regarding commercial or financial information that
the City Council has received from business prospects that the City
Council seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the territory of the
City of Denton and with which the City Council is conducting economic
development negotiations, relating to a conference center.
B. Deliberation regarding personnel matters – Under Texas Government Code
Section 551.074.
1. Deliberate and discuss the evaluation of candidates for the City Attorney
position.
