A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DENTON TO PROVIDE
NOTICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE WITH PAY TO THE PRESIDING MUNICIPAL
JUDGE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Holly Fox ("Fox") currently serves as the Presiding Municipal Judge for the
City ofDenton and is an appointee of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City ofDenton is conducting an investigation regarding the operations of
its municipal court ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to issue a Notice of Administrative Leave with Pay
to Fox; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that placing Fox on Administrative Leave with Pay
during the investigation is in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE;
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS HEREBY RESOLVES :
SECTION 1. The recitals and findings contained in the preamble of this Resolution are
incorporated into the body of this Resolution .
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City of Denton to
provide notice of Administrative Leave to Fox.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
