A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON PROVIDING FOR REMOVAL FOR
CAUSE OF CYNDELL ADDISON, MEMBER OF THE HEALTH AND BUILDING
STANDARDS COMMISSION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE XIV, SECTION
14.16 OF THE DENTON CITY CHARTER; PROVIDING NOTICE; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The Denton City Charter, Article XIV, Sectio 6, states, "Me rs of
boards and commissions of the City of Denton shall serve the ure of the jpncil.
Members of such boards and commissions may be removed e cou my jbro and
only after being given notice by the council. "
SECTION 2. The Denton Code of Ordinanc rticle ection 2.81n, addresses
member attendance requirements that must be et by b f boards mmissions, and
committees; and further states, in part, "... lack ndan afty (50) ent of the number
of regular/scheduled meetings in a year, s all be idere se ' that term is used in
Section 14.16 of the Charter, for removal city il. "

Code oicle III, Section 2.83(c) by her absence on the following meeting dates:
April 2, 2021, and May 13, 2021.
SECTION 7. This Resolution shall become effective immediately and the City Secretary
is hereby directed to send a copy of this resolution as notice via certified and regular mail to the
member within five days of the date of its passage.
