RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION NOMINATING A MEMBER TO THE POLICY MAKERS COUNCIL OF
THE AMERICAN PUBLIC POWER ASSOCIATION TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF
DENTON, A TEXAS HOME -RULE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Denton, a Texas home -rule municipal corporation, is a member of
the American Public Power Association ("APPA"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton may nominate members to the Policy Makers Council
("PMC") of APPA to serve up to a three-year term in accordance APPA rules and procedures; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Gerard Hudspeth and Councilmember Brian Beck, elected officials of
the City of Denton, are eligible to be a member of APPA's PMC; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Denton, after due consideration, has selected Mayor
Gerard Hudspeth and Councilmember Brian Beck as nominees to APPA's PMC; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are incorporated
by reference as findings of the City Council.
SECTION 2. The City of Denton hereby nominates Mayor Gerard Hudspeth and
Councilmember Brian Beck to APPA's PMC to serve up to a three-year term in accordance with
APPA rules and procedures.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
