Home My WebLink About22-2444RESOLUTION NO. 22-2444 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON NAMING CARROLL TRAIL LOCATED ONCARROLL BLVD: NAMING CROSS TIMBERS PARK NORTH TRAIL LOCATED INCROSS TIMBERS PARK (NORTH); NAMING CROSS TIMBERS PARK SOUTH TRAILLOCATED IN CROSS TIMBERS PARK (SOUTH); NAMING MCKENNA PARK TRAILLOCATED IN MCKENNA PARK; NAMING RAYZOR RANCH PARK TRAIL LOCATED nyRAYZOR RANCH PARK; NAMING UNICORN LAKE TRAIL LOCATED ON UNICORNLAKE BLVD.: NAMING WHEELER RIDGE PARK TRAIL LOCATED IN WHEELER RIDGEPARK; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Resolution 20-2001 adopted October 20, 2020 outlines the City of Denton’s application and policy guidelines for naming re-naming city buildings; facilities and land; and WHEREAS, the City Council directed the Parks, Recreation and Beautification Board to serve as the committee responsible for evaluation, discussion, and recommendations regarding applications with said recommendations submitted to the City Council for consideration and approval; and WHERAS, the Parks. Recreation, and Beautification Board recommends certain unnamed parks be named in accordance with the application and policy guidelines; NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES: SECTION 1. The trail located on Carroll Blvd. is hereby named Carroll Trail. SECTION 2. The trail located in Cross Timbers Park (-North) is hereby named CrossTimbers Park North Trail. SECTION 3. The trail located in Cross Timbers Park (South) is hereby named Cross Timbers Park South. SECTION 4. The trail located in Mckenna Park is hereby named McKenna Park Trail. SECTION 5. The trail located in Rayzor Ranch Park is hereby named Rayzor Ranch ParkTrail SECTION 6. The trail located along Unicorn Lake Blvd. is hereby renamed Unicorn LakeTrail SECTION 7. The trail located in Wheeler Ridge Park is hereby named Wheeler RidgePark Trail. SECTION 8. This resolution shall become effective immediately after its passage and approval.
