HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-2446RESOLUTION NO. 22-2446 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON NAMING BASEBALL FIELD #3 LOCATEDAT EVERS PARK RODNEY MOONEYHAN4 FIELD; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTrVEDATE WHEREAS, Resolution 20-2001 adopted October 20, 2020 outlines the City of Denton’s application and policy guidelines for naming re-naming city buildings; facilities and land; and WHEREAS, the City Council directed the Parks, Recreation and Beautification Board to serve as the committee responsible for evaluation, discussion, and recommendations regardingapplications with said recommendations submitted to the City Council for consideration and approval; WHERAS, the Parks, Recreation, and Beautification Board recommends certain unnamed parks be named in accordance with the application and policy guidelines; WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to approve or deny any received application, NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES: SECTION 1. Baseball Field #3, located at Evers Park is hereby named Rodney Mooneyham Field. SECTION 2. This resolution/ordinance shall become effective immediately after its passage and approval.
