HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-018RESOLUTION NO. 23-018 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON CONCURR[NG WITH THE CITYMANAGER’S REORGANIZATION OF THE CITY’S ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENTS AND DIVISIONS; AND PROViDrNG AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Sara Hensley was appointed Interim City Manager, effective on February 20, 2021 and appointed City Manager, effective on March 1, 2022; and WHEREAS, the City Manager continues to focus on process improvement, customer service enhancement, and identifying organizational efficiencies; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined a reorganization of some of the City’sadministrative departments and divisions are necessary to provide optimal effectiveness and is in the public interest; NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES: SECTION 1. The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this Resolution are incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2. The City Council hereby concurs with the City Manager’s reorganization of the City’s administrative departments and divisions depicted in the chart attached hereto as Exhibit“A“ SECTION 3. The City Council acknowledges that the City Manager may make minor modifications to the organizational structure and expenditures necessary to support the reorganization of the City’s administrative departments and divisions after this Resolution is adopted. Any major modifications shall be presented to the City Council via resolution. SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
