[Presentation/Discussion Time: 45 minutes] BACKGROUND: During the joint City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, Staff will provide information regarding implementation of the Denton 2040 Comprehensive Plan (Plan). The Plan was adopted in March 2022; therefore, staff will briefly address how implementation of the plan is being achieved. The presentation will include the following topics: • The many action items enumerated in the Comprehensive Plan for implementation, • Major implementation-related projects that are underway, and • How development projects are evaluated with respect to the Comprehensive Plan and its implementation goals, policies, and actions.
