A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
DENTON COUNTY WORKFORCE SUCCESS LEADERSHIP TEAM; AND PROVIDINGAN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Denton County Workforce Success Leadership Team Bylaws outline the
board composition and states, in part, “ ... shall be composed of appointees from the followingentities ... (1) City of Den/on. ”; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Chris Watts who served until June 30, 2023 when the term
ended; and
WHEREAS, Denton County Workforce Success Leadership Bylaws provide for a two-
year term limit in an appointment cycle for appointed members; and
WHEREAS, the City Council understands the important work performed by the Denton
County Workforce Success Leadership Team and therefore wishes to appoint a member to fill
the existing vacancy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton, after due consideration, has
reselected Council Member Chris Watts to serve on the Denton County Workforce Success
Leadership Team to fill the term ending June 30, 2025 (such applicable term covering the periodof July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025); NOW THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The recitations in the preamble of this resolution are incorporated by
reference.
SECTION 2. Council Member Chris Watts is reappointed to serve on the Denton
County Workforce Success Leadership team to fill the term ending June 30, 2025 .
SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
