A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
DEVELOPMENT CODE REVIEW COMMITTEE AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, following each election cycle and periodically as needed the City Secretary
informs the Council of vacancies on Boards, Commissions, and Committees; and
WHEREAS, the Development Code Review Committee is charged with reviewing and
making recommendations regarding the Denton Development Code and consists of three (3) City
Council Members and three (3) Planning and Zoning Commission members; and
WHEREAS, on Aug. 1, 2023, the City Council appointed Council Member Chris Watts to
the Development Code Review Committee; and
WHEREAS, on Sept. 26, 2023, Council Member Watts submitted his resignation from the
Development Code Review Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council may appoint a member of the City Council to fill Council
member Watts’ unexpired term; NOW THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The recitations in the preamble of this resolution are incorporated by
reference.
SECTION 2. PhI pk IIce / is appointed to the Development Code Review Committee
for the remainder of the unexpired term ending August 3 1, 2025 .
SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
The motion to approve this resolution was made by B , ,4.-. Beck and seconded
