A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON CASTING VOTES FOR MEMBERSHIP TO
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE DENTON CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT; AND
PROVID[NG FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Denton is a voting unit of the Denton Central Appraisal District;
and
WHEREAS, each voting unit must cast its vote by written resolution and submit it to the
Chief Appraiser before December 15th; and
WHEREAS, when a voting unit casts its votes, it must cast the votes for a person that
was nominated and is named on the ballot. There is no provision for write in candidates; and
WHEREAS, a voting unit may cast all its votes for one candidate or may distribute the
votes among a number of candidates. The City of Denton has a total of 1 65 votes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the candidates nominated by the taxing
jurisdictions and named on the ballot; NOW THEREFORE;
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby casts et'81 '/ votes

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval
