TEXAS, HELD AT THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING OF SAID CITY ON THE 9TH
DAY OF APRIL, A.D. 1962.
RESOLUTION
On thzs the 9th day of Aprzl, A.D. 1962, came on to be
conszdered at a Special Meeting of the City Counczl of Denton,
Texas, the matter of canvassing the returns of an elect~on here-
tofore held on the 3rd day of April, A.D. 1962, sazd electzon
having heretofore been duly ordered by sa~d Czty Council for the
purpose of electing two councilmen for the Czty of Denton, Texas,
and the C~ty Counczl having duly canvassed the returns of said
election, fznds that the following named men recelved the votes
ndlcated opposzte their names:

It appearing from the canvass of said returns of said elec-
tion that ~. R Pemberton and Warren Wh~tson, Jr.
received the highest number of votes cast for the off~ce of C~ty
Councilmen of the C~ty of Denton, Texas,
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED AND DECLARED that the said
H. R~ Pemberton and Warren Whltson~ Jr. were duly
elected as City Councilmen of the City of Denton, Texas, and the
Cmty Secretary is hereby DIRECTED to deliver copies of this
Resolution to the aforesaId H.R. Pemberton and
Warren Wh~tson~ Jr. as Certificates of Elect~on.
pASSED AND APPROVED this 9th day of April, A.D. 1962.
