A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON NAMING JEFF LAQUEY MEMORIAL TRAIL
LOCATED IN nARTLEE FIELD MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Resolution 20-2001 adopted October 20, 2020 outlines the City of Denton’s
application and policy guidelines for naming re-naming city buildings; facilities and land; and
WHEREAS, the City Council directed the Parks, Recreation and Beautification Board to
serve as the committee responsible for evaluation, discussion, and recommendations regarding
applications with said recommendations submitted to the City Council for consideration and
approval; and
WHEREAS, the Parks, Recreation, and Beautification Board recommends certain
unnamed parks be named in accordance with the application and policy guidelines; NOW
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The findings and recitation contained in the preamble of this resolution are
incorporated herein by reference
SECTION 2. A trail located in Hartlee Field Mountain Bike Park is hereby named Jeff
LaQuey Memorial Trail.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately after its passage and
approval.
