WHER~e it Xs contemplated that the City of Denton, Texas
wxll construct certain sewage treatment facilities
I with an estimated total cost of $907,230.00; and
WHEREA~, ~t ~s foun~ that the C~ty of Denton, Texas ~s un-
able to provide the total cost of such ~mprove-
ments; and
WHERE~ ~t ~s deemed necessary and proper to apply for a
federal gr~nt under the Federal Water Pollution
Control Act, Public Law 660, as amended, ~n order
to have sufficient funds to complete these much
needed lm~ovements; now therefore
BE IT ~SOLVED BY T~ISMAYORAND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS,I
that Zeke Mart~n, Mayor of the C~ty of Denton,
be and ~s hereby authorized and d~rected to make
applxcation and sxgn the necessary documents re-
qulre~gto ~omplete the pro3ect on behalf of the
Czty of Denton, for a federal grant under Public
Law 660, as amended; to be applied to the cost of
the constructxon of sa~d sewage facilities. The

TEXAS, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING OF SAID CITY ON THE 25TH

RESOLUTION
W~EREAS, the C~ty of Denton, Texas, has constructed
certain sewage transmission and treatment
facilities at a total cost of approximately
296,240.00; and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton, Texas ~s unable to pro-
v~de the total cost of such ~mprovements; and
WHEREAS, it was deemed necessary and proper to apply
I for federal grant under the Federal Water
Pollution Control Act, Public Law 660, as
amended, in order to have suff~clent funds
to complete these much needed improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT P~SO~VED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE'CITY OF DENTON, TEX~S, THAT
Zeke Martzn, Mayor of the C~ty of Denton be
and is hereby authorized and d~rected to exe-
cute and sign the necessary documents re-
quired to complete the project on behalf of
the City of Denton, for a federal grant under
public Law 660, as amended; to be applled
to the cost of the construction of sa~d sew-
age facilities. The C~ty of Denton hereby
agrees that if a federal grant for the pro-
ect is ma~e pursuant to the Federal Water
Pollution Control Act, the C~ty w~ll pay the
remaining costs of the approved pro3ect.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 25th day of July, A. D. 1967.
