DENCO AREA 9-1-1 DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the term of office of Harlan Jefferson, a member of the Board of Managers of
the Denco 9-1-1 District, will expire on September 30, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Section 772.306 of the Health and Safety Code (V.A.C.S.) provides that two
voting members of the Board of Managers of an Emergency Communication District shall be
appointed jointly by participating municipalities located in whole or in part in the District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton, Texas wishes to vote for a member to said Board; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. That the City of Denton, Texas hereby votes for Harlan Jefferson as a member
to the Board of Managers of the Emergency Communication District of Denton County for a two
year term to commence October 1, 2002.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
