A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON EXERCISING
ITS RIGHTS AND CASTING VOTES FOR MEMBERSHIP TO THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE DENTON CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Denton is a voting unit of the Denton Central Appraisal District; and
WHEREAS, each voting unit must cast its vote by written resolution and submit it to the Chief
Appraiser by close of business on December 13th, 2024, since December 15 falls on a Sunday;
and
WHEREAS, when a voting unit casts its votes, it must cast the votes for a person that was
nominated and is named on the ballot as there is no provision for write in candidates; and
WHEREAS, a voting unit may cast all its votes for one candidate or may distribute the votes
among a number of candidates; and
WHEREAS, the City of Denton has a total of 189 votes to cast; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the candidates submitted by the nominating units
and named on the ballot. NOW THEREFORE;
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION 1. The above recitals are hereby found to be true and correct legislative findings and
are incorporated herein in their entirety.
SECTION 2. The City Council of.the City of Denton, Texas hereby casts I eq votes for

Board of Directors of the Denton Central Appraisal District for the County of Denton, Texas.
SECTION 3. The meeting at which this resolution is considered and voted on as indicated
below was open to the public in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551
of the Texas Government Code.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval .
