HomeMy WebLinkAbout25-194RESOLUTION NO. 25-194 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DENTON REDUCING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Denton (“City”) created Community Services Advisory Committee on July 27, 2021, Resolution No. 21-979; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the public interest to reduce the number of committee members as matter of efficiency, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY RESOLVES: SECTION 1. The findings set forth in the preamble of this Resolution are incorporated by reference into the body of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein. SECTION 2. The Community Services Advisory Committee number of members is hereby reduced to seven (7). SECTION 3. Section 1, line 2 through 11 of Resolution No. 21-979 is hereby amended, repealed and replaced to read as follows: be composed of seven (7) members, with each Council member appointing one committee member. A quorum of the committee must be present to hold a committee meeting, or to take action with four (4) members considered a quorum. Members shall be appointed for two-year terms. SECTION 4. All other portions of Resolution No. 21-979 shall remain in effect. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval. The motion to approve this Resolution was made by Brian Beck and seconded by Brandon Chase McGee.
