AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON DISSOLVING THE INTERNAL AUDIT
ADVISORY COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Denton (“City”) created the Internal Audit Advisory Committee
on October 12, 2021, Ordinance No. 21-2035; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the public interest to dissolve the Internal Audit
Advisory Committee as matter of efficiency, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The findings set forth in the preamble of this Ordinance are incorporated by
reference into the body of this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. The Internal Audit Advisory Committee is hereby dissolved and all
ordinances or resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed including Ordinance
No. 21-2035
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
The motion to approve this Ordinance was made by Brian Beck and seconded by Brandon
Chase McGee. This Ordinance was passed and approved by
the following vote [ 7 - 0 ] :
