ORDINANCE NO. 25- 164
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING RATES, FEES, AND CHARGES FOR CITY-OWNED PROPERTY AND
FACILITIES UPON DENTON ENTERPRISE AIRPORT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, Denton Enterprise Airport operates under the guidance of the Federal
Aviation Administration (“FAA”) and the FAA recommends airports establish rates and fees
associated with the use of airport land; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with City Code, any fee for the use of City property must be
adopted by City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the fees imposed are in the public interest; and
WHEREAS, on Sept. 27, 2022, the City Council approved the adoption of an ordinance
establishing an Airport Rates and Fees Schedule; and
WHEREAS, at the Dec. 11, 2024, meeting of the Airport Advisory Board, the Board
recommended that the City approve the amendment to the Airport Rates and Fees Schedule by a
vote of 6 to 0; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1. The findings and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are
incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. The rates, fees, and charges for property, facilities, and services upon
Denton Enterprise Airport shall be established as follows:
Aviation Fuel Delivery Fees
Fixed Base Operator ......................................................................................... $0.22/gallon
Private-Use (unless otherwise specified in a lease agreement) ........................ $0.37/gallon
HangarfFie Down Fees
Fixed Base Operator .............. 12% of Gross Receipts
Aircraft Storage Fees for City-Owned Hangars
Quebec T-Hangar Units A&B ...................................................................... $750.00/month
Quebec T-Hangar Units C&E....................................................................... $500.00/month
Quebec T-Hangar Units D ............................................................................ $450.00/month
Quebec Box Hangars .................................................................................... $675.00/month
Building and Lease Rates
Rental rates for land leases and properties reverting to the City upon the termination of a

land lease will be negotiated between the City and prospective Lessees.

SECTION 3. The Airport rates, fees, and charges shall be updated from time to time to
ensure Airport property and facilities are producing fair market value and the airport is recovering
revenue sufficient to meet operational and capital expenses; and
SECTION 4. This ordinance, upon its passage and approval, shall become effective on
April 1 , 2025 .
