HomeMy WebLinkAbout26-0290EXHIBIT A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING DENTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT CHILD NUTRITION SERVICES AND CITY OF DENTON PARKS AND RECREATION Denton Independent School District (DISD) Food Services Department, in accordance with the USDA Summer Food Service Program and Facility Use Agreement between these entities, will provide breakfast and lunches to children enrolled in the City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department (DPARD) summer camp program on weekdays from May 26 through August 7, 2026, for the listed school sites and recreation centers. Summer Food Sites In addition to the designated summer camp sites, all listed sites will serve the community as part of the DISD Summer Food program. Summer Camp Sites • McMath Middle School, 1900 Jason Dr., Denton, TX 76205 • Newton Rayzor Elementary School, 1221 Crescent St., Denton, TX 76201 (will also serve camps from MLK Jr. Rec Center, Denia Rec Center and Calhoun Middle School) • Strickland Middle School, 324 E. Windsor Dr., Denton, TX 76207 • WS Ryan Elementary School, 201 W Ryan Rd, Denton, TX 76210 Additional Community Sites • Alexander Elementary School, 800 Mack Pl., Denton, TX 76209 (ending June 26) • Hodge Elementary School, 3900 Grant Parkway, Denton TX 76208 • Evers Elementary School, 3300 Evers Parkway, Denton, TX 76027 DISD will ensure: 1. All meals meet USDA meal standards for the summer meals program. 2. Meals served on-site to children of the community and summer camp participants will be served on the following schedule: a. Breakfast 7:30-8:30 a.m. b. Lunch 11:30 a.m.-12:30p.m. 3. Meals will be served to all children attending regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. 4. All meals will be provided without charge. 5. Hot breakfast and lunch will be served to camps hosted at a DISD school site and those located within walking distance to the school site. 6. Sacked lunches will be provided to off-site camps as listed above according to a mutually agreed upon pick-up schedule. 7. Shelf stable breakfast items will be provided to off-site camps during lunch pick-up the day prior. 8. Sack lunches will be provided on field trip and swim days. 9. No meals will be provided to DPARD summer camps on the following dates: a. Friday, June 19, 2026 Docusign Envelope ID: 966B70B9-7A74-4A21-A4C4-135A276B8BC3 EXHIBIT A City of Denton will ensure: 1.Complete required Civil Rights and SFSP training for all staff and provide all certificates of completion and sign-in sheets to DISD by the first day of camp. 2.Accurately record daily meals served to summer camp participants. 3.Camp participants will sit in an assigned area to ensure proper supervision by DPARD staff at all times.4.Assist with cleaning of camp seating area, ensure spills are cleaned and all trash disposed of properly. 5.Schedule and quantities for bagged lunches will be provided no later than 1 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to each week of camp. 6.Pick-up bagged lunches according to mutually agreed upon schedule each day for delivery to off- site camp location(s) and field trips. 7. Ensure proper handling, temperature control, and timely delivery of bagged lunches received.
