SUBJECT
Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton a Texas Home-Rule Municipal Corporation,
authorizing the City Manager to execute a temporary License between the City of Denton and North
Texas State Fair Association, a Texas nonprofit corporation, for the use of temporary housing and grazing
of horses for the installation of a temporary agricultural/security fence during the annual North Texas Fair
and Rodeo, being 5.603 acres of land situated in the Robert Beaumont Survey, Abstract No. 31, in Denton
County, Texas; and providing an effective date.
BACKGROUND
The City of Denton (the “City”) is the owner of real property described in Instrument No.’s #2026-42949
described in Denton County Records of Denton County, North Texas State Fair Association (“NTSFA”)
desires to execute a revocable license agreement with the City for the real property listed.
NTSFA has requested authorization from the City to use approximately 5.603-acres of City property for
temporary housing and grazing of horses and for the installation of a temporary agricultural/security fence
during the annual North Texas Fair and Rodeo. This use will occur each year between July 20 and
September 15.
