AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, NAMING THE DOG PARK
LOCATED IN LAKE FOREST PARK, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Denton desires to name the dog park located in Lake Forest
Park, in accordance with the Park and Facilities Naming Policy; and
WHEREAS, the chairperson for the Parks and Recreation Board appointed a committee
to develop a recommendation for a name for the dog park; and
WHEREAS, the naming committee proposed that the dog park be named "Wiggly Field
at Lake Forest Park"; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board recommends that the dog park be named
"Wiggly Field at Lake Forest Park"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the recommendation complies with the
policy and guidelines regarding the naming of parks and park facilities and has also determined
that it would be proper and fitting to name the dog park "Wiggly Field at Lake Forest Park';
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The dog park shall now and hereafter be known and designated as "Wiggly
Field at Lake Forest Park".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
