AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, ZONING TWO TRACTS OF LAND,
COMPRISING APPROXIMATELY 672 ACRES IN THE CITY OF DENTON TO THE
AGRICULTURAL (A) ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION; TRACT ONE BEING
LOCATED EAST OF U.S. HIGHWAY 377, SOUTH OF REGENCY COURT ON EACH SIDE
OF COUNTRY CLUB ROAD, WEST OF MONTECITO ALONG RYAN ROAD AND
MOSTLY NORTH OF BRUSH CREEK ROAD AND TRACT TWO BEING LOCATED WEST
OF IT09 SOUTH OF EL PASEO AND EAST OF NTA MONICA; PROVIDING A
AU5E AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE (Z 00-020).
PENALTY CLAUSE
WHEREAS, the City of Denton has applied for
Agricultural (A) zoning district classification and use, and
planning and Zoning Commission recommended
WHEREAS, on November 8, 2000, the
approval of the requested change in zonmg, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the change in zoning is consistent with the 1999
Denton Plan, NOW, THEREFORE
a change in zoning for 672 acres of land to
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 The zoning district classification and use designation of the 672 acre property as
described in the legaldescription echereto and
Exhibited herein as is hereby zoned
to the Agricultural (A) gdistritlssificaionand use under the comprehensive
zoning ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas
SECTION 2 The City's official zoning map is amended to show the change in zoning district
classification
SEQ11ON 3 Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be
fined a sum not exceeding $2,000 00 Each day that a provision of this ordinance is violated shall
constitute a separate and distinct offense
SECTION 4 This ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the date of its
passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be published
twice in the Denton Record -Chronicle, a daily newspaper published in the City of Denton, Texas,
within ten (10) days of the date of its passage
