ORDINANCE NO 2001-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO PAY ANNUAL DUES TO THE TEXAS PUBLIC POWER ASSOCIATION,
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR, PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered and approved the payment of the City of
Denton annual dues, now due and owing, to the Texas Public Power Association ("TPPA"), an
association of municipal electric utilities and cooperatives in the State of Texas, in the amount of
$27,144 in order to maintain membership in the organization, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the City Manager is hereby authorized to pay the sum of $27,144
directly to the Texas Public Power Association, for annual dues for the current accounting
period
SECTION 2 That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and approval /-
