HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-3003 Our Doaumenle`ANl000weWUPW T.".qun ftcJ ORDINANCE NO O D' DO AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE PUBLIC WORKS INSPECTION FEE TO THE CITY FOR INSPECTION SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CITY FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS CONSTRUCTED BY DEVELOPERS RELATED TO PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, in some instances developers construct public improvements which are related to private development, including without limitation, when such public improvements are required by Chapter 34 of the Code of Ordinances as condition of subdivision approval, and WHEREAS, the City incurs administrative expenses in inspecting such public improvements which should be properly born by the developer, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the public interest to require that the developer/applicant pay to the City an administrative inspection fee equal to 3 5% of the cost to construct such public improvements, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such fee bears a reasonable relationship to the actual administrative costs incurred by the City to conduct such inspections, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION 1 An Inspection Fee is hereby established in an amount equal to 3 5 % of the cost to construct public improvements by developers, which must be paid to the City by the developer of such development prior to acceptance of the public improvements by the City The cost to construct the public improvements is the cost set forth in the public improvements agreement between the City and the developer SECTION 2 This ordinance shall become effective immediately from and after its passage and approval PASSED AND APPROVED this the 9-# JER WALTERS, CITY SECRETARY B d day of CfwJ p'mAr , 2000 /a0CtL EULINE BROCK, MAYOR 9 W,OxumawWcdomaa\oUPW Nry IW Pa d.
