1. Location: Bay Meadow (Prescott Downs Dr. to Fairmount Park Dr.)
2. Proposed Date of Construction: August 27, 2018
3. Proposed Date of Completion: September 10, 2018
4. Brief Description of the Project: Concrete street panel repair. The process starts with
barricading the failed sections of concrete pavement, remove the pavement and subgrade,
and install new concrete pavement. The new concrete has to cure for period of 7 days
before it can be opened up to traffic. This is done to allow the concrete to reach
sufficient strength to support traffic.
5. Special Requirements: During this time, there will be no parking on the street and there
will be limited access to driveways while crews are present. A door hanger will be placed
on your front door to notify you prior to your driveway being blocked. If your driveway
is blocked and you need temporary access in or out, you can speak with an on-site crew
member directly, or call Utilities Dispatch at (940) 349-7000 to have someone notify the
crews. Detours will be provided when necessary. As part of the project, replacement sod
may be placed in your yard and is the homeowner's responsibility to irrigate. To prevent
unnecessary damage to your irrigation system,please locate sprinkler heads within the
street right of way. The right of way usually goes back at least one to two feet behind the
sidewalk. The City of Denton will not be responsible for re-painting addresses or logos
on curbs within the right of way.
