CITY OF DENTON CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
November 24, 1987
The Council convened into a special called meeting at S:00 p.m.
in the Civil Defense Room.
PRESENT:
Mayor Stephens; Council Members Ayer, Alexander,
Boyd, Gorton and Hopkins.
ABSENT:
Mayor Pro Tem McAdams
1. The Council Considered adoption of an ordinance and
service plan instituting annexation of approximately 23.126
acres of land being part of the A. Gibson Survey, Abstract 498,
and located south of E1 Paseo Drive at Forrestridge.
The following ordinance was considered:
No. 87-
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT' OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND
ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS; BEING ALL THAT
LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND CONSISTING OF
APPROXIMATELY 23.126 ACRES OF LAND LYING AND BEING
SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND
BEING PART OF THE A. GIBSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 498,
DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS; CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS
AGRICULTURAL "A" DISTRICT PROPERTY; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Gorton motion, Ayer second to adopt the ordinance. On roll call
vote, Alexander "aye," Hopkins "aye," Gorton "aye," Ayer "aye,"
Boyd "aye," and Mayor Stephens "aye." Motion carried
unanimously.
2. The Council considered a motion to remove V-37 from
the table and refer back to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Boyd motion, Alexander second to approve the motion.

the table and refer back to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Boyd motion, Alexander second to approve the motion.

4. The Council convened into the Executive Session to
discuss legal matters, real estate, personnel and board
appointments. More specifically to discuss pending litigation
including Anderson vs. the City o£ Denton. No official action
was taken.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
