The HOT budgets published were from previous meetings and did not include the applicant's donation to the etectronic marquee, which will not be funded in program year 2403. In addition, with Chuck Carpenter's (President of the Denton Chamber of Commerce) permission, the Mayor passed out copies of an email she received from Christine Gossett, Vice President of the Convention and Visitor Bureau. Discussion ensued in regazd ta the Convention and Visitor Bureau's services that will be cut due to the lack of revenue and the lack of allocatian with Plan B. Ms. DuBose reviewed the correctian found in regard to the plans in consideration. One applicant, Cinco de Mayo Committee, would receive more than their application request for 2003. Therefore, the budget was changed to reflect their actual request. Tlus action released an additional $5,305. in Plan A and $ 45b7. in Plan B to be allocated. It was the committee's decision to realfocate $5,000. ta the Denton County Museums due to their budget being reduced last meeting to assist in funding the Downtowner Association's convention. The split recommendation conrinues with Mayor Brock and Council Member Montgomery supparting plan A and Council Member Phillips and Redmon supporting Plan B. These plans will be presented to the Council during August 8, 2002's budget workshop. Meeting adjourned at 9:48 a.m.
