McKinney Street, Denton, Texas. PRESENT: Mayor Euline Brock, Council Members Bob Montgomery and Pete Kamp EX-OFFICIO MEMBERS: 7on Fortune, Assistant City Manager Diana Ortiz, Chief Financial Officer Jerry Drake, Deputy City Attorney AGENDA ITEM 1: REVIEW �ND A.PPROVE MINUTES FROM THE JULY 25, 2005 MEETING Minutes appraved as written. AGENDA ITEM 2: DISCUSS THE HISTORICAL PARK FOUNDATION OF DENTON COUNTY 1NC.'S REQUEST FOR PY2005 EXTENSIQN Council Member Montgomery advised the committee that the contractor hired by the Foundatian passed away befare the scheduled wark l�egan on the Quaker House. The Foundation has received the funds {$20,000.} and will be able to expend them on a new contractor, but later than expected due to the circumstances. The committee approved an extension to #he PY2045 contract by three months. The contract extension will be on a future consent agenda. AGENDA ITEM 3: DISCUSS DENTON KIWANIS CLUB'S PROGR.AM YEAR 20�3 The committee w�nt into closed meeting status on this agenda item at 10:12 a.m. Legal notice dated February Z, 2006 {attached} applies to this decision. AGENDA ITEM 4: OTHER BUSINESS Diana Ortiz, Chief Financial Ofiicer for the City, reviewed the current hotel revenue at 3$% of budget. Mayor Brack, informed the committee of the pragress on the new website: dentonli�e.com and the need for a Webmaster calendar keeper for all events. Mr. Montgomery reviewed a plan of action in partnering with Winstar Casino far hotel packages. All �nembers agreed that April would be a good month to plan far the 2007 HOT Kick-off.
